In Madison, nurseries are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Wisconsin, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Check the listing for hours, seasonal closures and Google rating before you go.

Madison is in Wisconsin, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Madison follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Kristen has a great selection of healthy, beautiful, Wisconsin native plants. She's always happy to help with any questions. She grows her own plants at the nursery, so you know exactly what you are getting!

Beautiful, healthy perennials. I haven’t lost any prairie fairy perennial plants I’ve purchased since they opened their business 3 years ago. Some come a bit root-bound but the directions with each purchase details how to remove them carefully from their temporary containers, release the roots and get them in the ground. 😄

I recently purchased several native plants from Prairie Fairy Native Plants. I am a long time gardener and this is the first time I have purchased native plants. The online process is simple, the plants look great and I'm excited to see them grow and bloom.
